New client work rolled out: https://lnkd.in/d_C_VbQ7 (the site is only available in Hungarian, but Google Translate might help) Key Info: This site doesn’t rely on custom code—it uses Framer's default tools (except for the “Copy link and share” button under posts). Design, UI/UX and build by me. About the project The company provides private psychologists in Hungary with spaces for therapy sessions, legal security for all parties, and client acquisition support. Visitors can use the site to choose a psychologist, book appointments (via Calendly), and later finalize contracts (CMS) and payments (via Stripe). However, the process isn’t just about visitors clicking to book. They must first be convinced that this is the right place for them. Recognizing that patients dealing with grief, panic disorders, or depression may not resonate with happy, smiley visuals, we used realistic and impactful videos instead. Implementing these in Framer was incredibly easy. Additionally, the site provides extensive content and resources to help visitors research their options—an essential behavior for this audience. One common feedback we’ve received is, “No one explained this before. I’m glad I learned about it from Tabuk Villája.” Site features 9 CMS Collections: Supporting cross-references and conditional logic. CMS-driven Contracts: Tailored contracts for psychologists are accessible through the CMS and sent with Form Builder integration. Rich Content: Therapy types, psychologist profiles, booking calendars, blog posts, psychological tests, and more. Why Framer over custom development? The main reason was speed. This site underwent a complete redesign, delivered within 10 days. New features can go live even on the same day. With Framer’s simple editor, the client can make changes themselves. While they’ve already invested thousands of dollars, it’s still a fraction of what custom development would have cost—not to mention the time saved. Results The business launched earlier this year. Today, 60% of the psychologists have fully booked calendars through the platform, with waitlists now in place. Why it works This site is a proof to how Framer can power profitable businesses even in offline industries. While marketing and scaling remain the biggest challenges, the site itself performs its role flawlessly, supporting the broader business process.

This guy outsourced 100+ design studios. Only 3 became partners. (If you’re thinking of outsourcing, I hope this saves you some trouble) Here is what Aleksandar told me: Choose designers who get your style, not just the task. ↳ Their portfolio should match your brand. ↳ Ask for examples that fit your project’s voice. Make it a collaboration, not just a transaction. ↳ Designers work best when they’re involved in your vision. Set clear expectations from day one. ↳ Misunderstandings lead to delays and revisions. Respect their creative process. ↳ Give space. Don’t ask for constant updates. Give detailed, clear feedback. ↳ “Make it pop” doesn’t help. Understand timelines. ↳ Quality takes time. In the last year I have hired or I am in the process of hiring 4 new product designer, I have reviewed hundreds of CV’s across 3 countries such as Serbia, Portugal and Poland. These are the tips for anyone applying for the next career leap as product designer (user experience designer): 1. When applying via LinkedIn, attach a custom build PDF with your CV. The system that bigger companies use imports your LinkedIn profile and it does not look very great. Create a simple yet interactive CV that contains links to you portfolio and LinkedIn profile to stand out from the crowd. 2. Do not put your full life story on your CV, the last 3 job positions are good enough to understand your career progression. 3. Include at least one UX/UI based case study is a must. I can not tell you how often I had either to ask a candidate to send us a case study or I have rejected an application because of a lack of it. 4. Don't use Behance to host your UX portfolio/product design portfolio. This platform is not suited for that. There is no good way to outline your design process using only images and other visual artefacts. These portfolios look dated and do not stand out. It does quite the opposite. 5. Words and process matters. The more details you give the better it helps to understand your thought process. Document behind the scenes, add screenshots of your process you went through. The more detailed it is the better it helps to understand what the process was you went thought with the project. 6. Less is more. Today's story: You can easily spot imposters that try to pose as Senior Developers or Technical Leads, especially in the #AdobeCommerce space. First they lack the foundation. Non technical background - economics, journalism, arts and crafts, whatever. Then they started their career as frontend developer/full stack (mainly trial and error changes on open source platform) or QA then they moved into Developer positions. Their development style is trial and error when they face technical challenges. At some point they end up in a team where the Technical Lead is really thorough in code review and points out a lot of things and he starts to "learn" them. Never bothers to actually understand them, but he seems like he knows how to use them. Copy-paste, trial and error style of development evolves and after gaining experience, he's promoted to a technical position in a company that probably suffered extensively from talent bleed due to poor management and pressure accumulated on poorly developed projects. Some are "star" developers that lack any substance in terms of technical knowledge, understanding of concepts and how are those applied in real life. They can pass an interview where the discussion is theoretical, however, when requested to apply the theoretical discussion to problem solving... pause. When requested to provide clarity over the concepts they comment on... pause. What I wanted to get to is that the purpose of #codereview is improvement. Adapt it to the context you are in. Set realistic goals that can be achieved by the the team you have. Improve incrementally. Always keep in mind what is the goal - you need to deliver. If the developers can learn and improve something part of the process, that is a bonus.

Design decisions might seem simple, but they’re actually quite complex. 💫 Junior designers often make decisions based on: Whether they’ve seen something similar before. Whether they personally like it. Senior designers think more deeply: Will this solve the problem? How much effort will it take? Is it standard practice? Are our users familiar with it? Does it need to scale, and can it? Does it fit our design system? Is it accessible to everyone? Are there any risks? What other parts of the product could be affected? Will we learn something valuable from launching it? The priority of each question depends on your product, team, and organization. Embracing this thought process is key: To becoming a more analytical designer. To effectively communicating with stakeholders. To building your design authority. So, next time you’re making a design decision, incorporate this thinking into your approach.
